Why Wave Dental Carbide Burs?
Wave Dental Carbide Burs are brazed instead of welding. It is brazed at the base of the neck to ensure maximum strength due to maximum diameter of brazed area instead of the head to the top of the neck. Brazing creates a more integral bond with a clean smooth finish. With Brazing - The advantage is that only the binding metal is melted. In the case of Welding, the materials fuse together at higher temperatures. When heated to high temperatures (as in the case of welding) there is a risk of the material warping and this could affect the performance of the finished bur such as the fitting of the part in the handpiece. Therefore, brazing is best because the temperature is low and concentrated only at the binding material instead of the whole piece which avoids the situations above.
